Before admitting 10-year-old Hasan Ali, Ansar Zafar aka Baba Jee gave him a bowling trial, and after seeing him bowl, he agreed to take young Ali under his wing. Hasan Ali, a 10-year-old, was fortunate enough to be accepted into the Young Combine Star Club, from which he quickly advanced to regional or district-level teams.
